James Ingram (* 16. Februar 1956) ist ein amerikanischer Soul-Musiker und Sänger. Bekannt für seine kraftvolle und vielseitige Stimme, ist Ingram auch ein autodidaktischer Multiinstrumentalist, der Klavier, Gitarre, Bass, Schlagzeug und Keyboard spielt. Neben dem Singen hat er als Produzent und Songwriter gearbeitet. In den 1980er Jahren erreichte er internationalen Erfolg mit Songs wie "Yah Mo B There" (mit Michael McDonald) und "I Don't Want to Lose Your Love". Ingram wurde für zahlreiche Grammy Awards nominiert und gewann 1986 einen Oscar für das Lied "I Just Called to Say I Love You", das im Soundtrack des Films "The Color Purple" zu hören ist.
