Thomas Earl Petty, meglio conosciuto come Tom Petty, è stato un cantautore, musicista, produttore discografico e attore statunitense. Noto per il suo stile rock caratterizzato da melodie orecchiabili e testi introspettivi, ha raggiunto fama internazionale alla fine degli anni '70 con i Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
