Bruce Randall Hornsby (Williamsburg, Virginia, 1954) ist ein amerikanischer Musiker internationaler Bekanntheit, der sich durch seine Vielseitigkeit als Keyboarder, Pianist, Sänger und Komponist auszeichnet. In den 1980er Jahren erlangte er mit seiner Band Bruce Hornsby and the Range Bekanntheit und erzielte mit Songs wie "The Way It Is" und "Mandolin Rain" großen Erfolg. Sein Musikstil zeichnet sich durch eine Fusion aus Rock, Blues, Country und Jazz aus, beeinflusst von seiner klassischen Ausbildung. Hornsby hat mit Künstlern verschiedener Genres zusammengearbeitet, darunter Bob Dylan, The Grateful Dead und Sting. 1987 gewann er einen Grammy Award für das Lied "The Way It Is" und ist weiterhin aktiv als Musiker tätig.
