Barclay James Harvest war eine britische Progressive-Rock-Band, die von 1966 bis 2007 aktiv war. Bekannt für ihren reichen und orchestralen Sound, der sich durch komplexe Arrangements und eingängige Melodien auszeichnet, erreichte die Band internationale Erfolge mit dem Album *Gone To Earth* aus dem Jahr 1979. Zu den bekanntesten Songs von Barclay James Harvest gehören «Mockingbird», «Child of the Universe» und «Galileo». Die Band veröffentlichte über zehn Studioalben und errang sich eine treue Fangemeinde weltweit. Die ursprüngliche Besetzung bestand aus John Lees (Gitarre, Gesang), Woolly Wolstenholme (Keyboard, Gesang), Les Holroyd (Bass, Gesang) und Mel Pritchard (Schlagzeug).
