Takao Wazowsky, al secolo Marco D'Atanasio, nasce ad Assisi nel 1996 e cresce a Spoleto. La sua passione per la musica si sviluppa all'età di 13 anni, ispirato dalla sorella maggiore, e l'anno successivo inizia a prendere lezioni di chitarra. Nel 2010 fonda la band hard rock/alternative metal Burn It Down, con cui suona in vari locali dell'Umbria, affermandosi nella scena locale. Nel 2016, dopo aver esplorato la scena acustica, Marco si avvicina alla produzione musicale, creando basi per diversi artisti della regione. Nel 2019 pubblica "Feel The Ocean", un brano in collaborazione con Valentina Aleo, cantante dei Burn It Down. La sua carriera da produttore prende piede grazie a collaborazioni con Nick Thaboi e Ogre Aka Ergo. Nel 2023, fa il suo debutto nel mondo della musica elettronica con lo pseudonimo di Takao Wazowsky, fondendo il pop elettronico con la stutter house, ispirato da artisti internazionali come Fred Again, Bunt, J. Louix e Swimming Paul. Nello stesso anno pubblica il suo primo singolo da solista, "T.M.W.", con un'etichetta indipendente, e nel 2025 arriva "Missing You", una traccia che consolida la sua posizione nella scena elettronica italiana, unendo atmosfere intime, tipiche del pop-cantautorale italiano, a ritmi sincopati di matrice elettronica. Con un sound che sa essere intimo e leggero al contempo, Takao Wazowsky continua il suo percorso sondando e sperimentando nuove dimensioni sonore, offrendo al pubblico brani che sfidano i confini tra introspezione e dancefloor, andando oltre la dicotomia tra musica mainstream e underground.
