Serj Tankian è un cantautore, musicista e produttore discografico armeno-americano, noto soprattutto come voce e compositore principale del gruppo metal System of a Down. Nato in Armenia nel 1967 da genitori armeni emigrati negli Stati Uniti, Tankian ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale suonando il pianoforte e cantando in cori di chiesa.
