The Mamas and the Papas waren eine amerikanische Folk-Rock-Band, die 1965 in Los Angeles gegründet wurde. Die Band bestand aus John Phillips (Gesang, Gitarre), Michelle Phillips (Gesang), Cass Elliot (Gesang) und Denny Doherty (Gesang, Gitarre).
