Biografia

Die Jackson 5 waren eine der beliebtesten Disco-Pop-Gruppen der 70er Jahre und leiteten die äußerst erfolgreiche Solokarriere des Leadsängers Michael Jackson ein. Auch Jermaine Jackson feierte als Solist Erfolge, während seine Schwester Janet Jackson (die nie Teil der Jackson 5 war) in den 80ern zur Pop-Superstar aufstieg. Die Gruppe aus Gary, Indiana, bestand aus fünf Brüdern: Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon und Michael. Sie begannen 1964 als The Jackson Brothers zu performen und änderten ihren Namen 1968 in The Jackson 5. Unter der Leitung ihres Vaters Joseph Jackson unterschrieb die Gruppe bei Motown Records und erreichte schnell nationalen Erfolg mit Singles wie "ABC", "I Want You Back" und "Never Can Say Goodbye". Ihre Musik zeichnete sich durch eingängige Rhythmen, ansprechende Melodien und energiegeladene Auftritte aus. Die Jackson 5 verkauften Millionen von Alben weltweit und hinterließen eine unvergessliche Spur in der Geschichte der Popmusik.
