Gin Blossoms è una band alternative rock formatasi nel 1987 a Tempe, Arizona. Il nome deriva da una fotografia di W.C. Fields con la didascalia "W.C. Fields with gin blossoms", che faceva riferimento al naso dell'attore apparentemente devastato dall'alcol, ma in realtà era una condizione cutanea nota come rosacea. La band ha pubblicato tre album e ha avuto diversi successi a metà degli anni '90, prima di sciogliersi nel 1997. Cinque anni dopo, nel 2002, la band si è riunita, ha rilasciato un DVD, ha ripreso i tour e ha promesso un quarto album. Major Lodge Victory, il primo album dei Gin Blossoms in dieci anni, è stato pubblicato l'8 agosto 2006 sull'etichetta Hybrid Recordings.
