Killing Joke ist eine britische Rockband, die 1979 in Notting Hill, London, gegründet wurde. Sie gelten als Pioniere des Post-Punk und Vorläufer des Goth-Rock-Movements und haben die alternative Musikszene mit ihrem dunklen, experimentellen und oft aggressiven Sound tief beeinflusst. Der einzige Gründungsmitglied, der noch aktiv ist, ist Jaz Coleman, der charismatische Sänger und Frontmann, bekannt für seine theatralischen und visionären Auftritte. Weitere wichtige Mitglieder sind Youth (Bass) und Paul Ferguson (Schlagzeug).
