Boss Hogg Outlawz ist ein Hip-Hop-Kollektiv mit Sitz in Houston, Texas, das vom Rapper Slim Thug und seinem Bruder Rayface gegründet wurde. Zum Kollektiv gehören außerdem Killa Kyleon, J-Dawg, Young Black, PJ Tha Rap Hustler, Chris Ward, Sir Daily und Rob Smallz, der einzige R and B-Künstler des Teams. Slim Thug beschloss 2000 nach einer Zusammenarbeit mit Swishahouse, seinen eigenen unabhängigen Plattenlabel zu gründen, um die Kontrolle über seine Einnahmen zu behalten. Boss Hogg Outlawz hat im Laufe der Jahre zahlreiche Mixtapes und Independent-Alben veröffentlicht. 2004 unterzeichnete Slim Thug einen Vertrag mit Interscope Records, behielt aber die Unabhängigkeit seines Labels bei und konnte weiterhin unabhängige Musik veröffentlichen. Interscope vertrieb auch das erfolgreichste Album des Kollektivs, *Already Platinum* (2005) von Slim Thug, auf nationaler Ebene. 2007 veröffentlichte Boss Hogg Outlawz *Serve and Collect* über Koch Records. Nach internen Problemen und Verzögerungen bei der Veröffentlichung von Slim Thugs zweitem Album, *Boss of All Bosses*, bat der Rapper 2008 um Auflösung seines Vertrags mit Interscope, um zu den unabhängigen Wurzeln seines Labels zurückzukehren. Zu den bekanntesten Songs des Kollektivs gehören: *Diamonds*, *Gangsta Lean*, *I'm a Boss* und *Swishahouse*.
