Immortal Technique, eigentlich Felipe Coronel, ist ein US-amerikanischer Rapper und Aktivist peruanischer Abstammung. Geboren 1979 in New York City aus peruanischen Eltern, zog er während seiner Kindheit durch verschiedene Städte der USA. Seine Musik zeichnet sich durch politische und soziale Texte aus, die Themen wie Krieg, Rassismus, Armut und Unterdrückung behandeln. Von Künstlern wie Public Enemy und Tupac Shakur beeinflusst, entwickelte Immortal Technique einen rauen und prägnanten Rap-Stil, oft begleitet von düsteren und atmosphärischen Beats. Sein Debütalbum war "Revolutionary Vol. 1" (2001), gefolgt von weiteren erfolgreichen Werken wie "The 3rd World" (2003) und "Welcome to America" (2009).
