Pegazus ist eine Heavy-Metal-Band aus Melbourne, Australien. Die Band wurde Ende 1993 vom Gitarristen Johnny Stoj gegründet und erlangte 1998 internationale Bekanntheit, nachdem sie bei Nuclear Blast Records unterschrieben hatte. Ihr zweites Album *Wings of Destiny*, das am 25. Mai 1998 veröffentlicht wurde, war ein großer Erfolg und machte sie schnell zu einem Favoriten der europäischen Heavy-Metal-Fans. Im selben Jahr wurde die Band eingeladen, beim Wacken Open Air Festival in Deutschland aufzutreten, einem der wichtigsten Metal-Festivals Europas, vor über 25.000 Zuschauern. Nach einer kurzen Rückkehr nach Hause begaben sie sich auf eine große Europatournee mit Hammerfall für die *Legacy of Kings*-Tournee. Seit etwa dem Jahr 2000 hat Pegazus seine Live-Aktivitäten reduziert und spielt hauptsächlich in Pubs in Melbourne.
