Biografia

Taking Back Sunday ist eine amerikanische Emo-Band, die 1999 in Amityville, New York, gegründet wurde. Die ursprüngliche Besetzung bestand aus John Nolan (Gitarre), Eddie Reyes (Schlagzeug), Fred Mascherino (Gitarre) und Adam Lazzara (Gesang). Ihr Sound, geprägt von eingängigen Melodien, nachdenklichen Texten und intensiver Live-Energie, prägte den Emocore der 2000er Jahre. Ihr Debütalbum *Where You Want to Be*, das 2004 veröffentlicht wurde, erreichte Platz 3 der Billboard 200 Charts und festigte den Erfolg der Band. Ihr zweites Album *MakeDamnSure*, das 2006 erschien, führte die Charts mit über 600.000 verkauften Exemplaren an und produzierte den erfolgreichsten Song der Band, "MakeDamnSure", der Platz 8 der Alternative Airplay-Charts erreichte. Im Laufe der Jahre hat Taking Back Sunday mehrere Besetzungswechsel durchlaufen. Trotz der Herausforderungen ist es der Band gelungen, eine treue Fangemeinde zu erhalten und mit Alben wie *New Again* (2009) und *Taking Back Sunday* (2011) Spuren in der Emo-Musikszene hinterlassen. Zu den bekanntesten Songs der Band gehören "Cute Without the 'E' (Cut From the Team)", "MakeDamnSure", "You're So Last Summer" und "Great Romances of the 21st Century".
