Als eine der einflussreichsten Persönlichkeiten der letzten fünfzig Jahre in Musik, Popkultur und Literatur gilt Dylan als prägendes Element der amerikanischen Musikkultur. Seine Karriere begann in den 1960er Jahren, als er sich zum zentralen Figure des amerikanischen Protestmovements entwickelte.
