Skid Row ist eine amerikanische Heavy-Metal-Band, die 1986 in Toms River, New Jersey, gegründet wurde. Die Gründungsmitglieder sind Rachel Bolan (Bass) und Dave „The Snake“ Sobo (Gitarre). Die ursprüngliche Besetzung vervollständigten Matt Fallon (Gesang), Scotti Hill (Gitarre) und Rob Affuso (Schlagzeug). 1987 ersetzte Sebastian Bach Fallon am Gesang und führte die Band zum internationalen Erfolg. Skid Row veröffentlichte in den 1990er Jahren drei Platin-Alben: „Skid Row“ (1989), „Slave to the Grind“ (1991) und „Subhuman Race“ (1992). Bach wurde 1997 entlassen, gefolgt von einer Reihe von Besetzungswechseln. Im Jahr 2000 veröffentlichte die Band ein neues Album mit Tony Harnell als Sänger, aber ohne den vorherigen Erfolg. Skid Row existiert weiterhin und tritt seit 2016 mit Johnny Solinger (ehemals Whitesnake) als Sänger auf. Zu den bekanntesten Songs gehören „18 and Life“, „I Remember You“, „Youth Gone Wild“ und „Big Guns“.
