Die Bouncing Souls sind eine amerikanische Punkrock-Band, die 1987 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, gegründet wurde. Von ihren Anfängen an prägten sie ihren Sound durch Geschwindigkeit und Intensität, typisch für den Punkrock, und wurden so zu einem Vorbild für viele lokale Bands. In den frühen Jahren ihrer Karriere experimentierten sie mit einer Mischung aus Punk, Funk und Metal, ohne ihre Punk-Identität aufzugeben. Die Konzerte der Bouncing Souls waren immer von ansteckender Energie geprägt, wenn auch mit Amateur-Elementen, die man in den Aufnahmen der 1980er Jahre erkennen kann.
