Rhapsody of Fire (früher bekannt als Thundercross und zuvor Rhapsody) ist eine italienische Symphonic Power Metal Band, die von Luca Turilli und Alex Staropoli geleitet wird. Seit ihrer Gründung 1993 hat die Band acht Studioalben, ein Live-Album, eine EP und ein Live-DVD veröffentlicht. Ihr Musikstil zeichnet sich durch den Einsatz von Orchesterarrangements, Chören und epischen Melodien aus, oft inspiriert von Fantasy- und mythologischen Themen. Zu den bekanntesten Songs gehören "Emerald Sword", "Lamento Ergo Sum" und "Power of the Dragon Flame". Wichtige Alben sind "Symphony of Enchanted Lands" (1998) und "Dawn of Victory" (2000). 2011 verließ Luca Turilli die Band, um eine Solokarriere einzuschlagen. Alex Staropoli führt Rhapsody of Fire mit neuen Mitgliedern weiter.
