As I Lay Dying ist eine amerikanische Metalcore-Band aus San Diego, Kalifornien. Gegründet 2000 leitet sich der Bandname vom gleichnamigen Roman von William Faulkner ab. Tim Lambesis gründete die Band und vervollständigte die erste Besetzung im Jahr 2001.
