Swing Out Sister ist ein britisches Musikduo, das 1985 gegründet wurde. Ursprünglich bestand es aus Andy Connell (Keyboard), Martin Jackson (Schlagzeug) und Corinne Drewery (Gesang). Der Gruppe gelang der internationale Durchbruch mit dem Single "Breakout", der 1986 veröffentlicht wurde. Nach Jacksons Ausstieg während der Aufnahmen des zweiten Albums wurde Swing Out Sister zu einem Duo. Ihr Musikstil lässt sich in die Popmusik mit Einflüssen aus Jazz und Soul einordnen. Neben "Breakout" zählen auch "You On My Mind" und "Surrender to the Rhythm" zu ihren bekanntesten Songs. Die Band hat über 15 Alben veröffentlicht und sowohl in Großbritannien als auch international Erfolge erzielt.
