Blue Öyster Cult ist eine amerikanische Rockband, die 1967 in New York gegründet wurde. Sie gelten als Pioniere des Heavy Metals und sind für ihre Verwendung von Science-Fiction- und okkulten Bildern in ihren Songs bekannt. Mit über 25 Alben, die in einer Karriere von über 40 Jahren veröffentlicht wurden, haben sie weltweit mehr als 14 Millionen Alben verkauft.
