James Eugene "Jim" Carrey (nato il 17 gennaio 1962) è un attore e comico canadese-americano. Iniziò la sua carriera di stand-up comedy nel 1979, esibendosi al Yuk Yuk's di Toronto sotto la gestione di Leatrice Spevack. Dopo essere diventato un successo nel 1981, iniziò a lavorare al The Comedy Store di Los Angeles, dove fu notato dal comico Rodney Dangerfield, che lo ingaggiò per aprire i suoi tour.
