Glenn Frey (Detroit, 6 novembre 1948 – New York, 18 gennaio 2016) è stato un cantautore, chitarrista e produttore discografico statunitense, noto soprattutto come cofondatore e membro principale della band rock Eagles. Frey ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale negli anni '60 con diverse formazioni locali prima di unirsi a Don Henley per formare gli Eagles nel 1971. Il gruppo ha raggiunto il successo internazionale negli anni '70 con album come "Hotel California" (1976) e "Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975)" (1976), vendendo oltre 200 milioni di dischi in tutto il mondo. Frey è stato un autore prolifico, scrivendo alcuni dei brani più iconici degli Eagles come "Take It Easy", "Desperado" e "Hotel California". Oltre alla sua carriera con gli Eagles, Frey ha anche intrapreso una carriera da solista, pubblicando diversi album di successo negli anni '80 e '90. Tra i suoi successi solisti ricordiamo "The Heat Is On" (1985) e "You Belong to the City" (1984). Frey è stato introdotto nella Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nel 1998 come membro degli Eagles.
