William Patrick Corgan, meglio conosciuto come Billy Corgan, è un cantautore, chitarrista e produttore discografico statunitense nato a Elk Grove Village, Illinois, nel 1967. È principalmente noto per essere il frontman degli Smashing Pumpkins, una band alternative rock di grande successo negli anni '90. Corgan ha fondato gli Smashing Pumpkins nel 1988 insieme al bassista D'arcy Wretzky e al batterista Jimmy Chamberlin. La band ha pubblicato album di grande successo come *Gish* (1991), *Siamese Dream* (1993) e *Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness* (1995), che hanno contribuito a definire il suono alternative rock degli anni '90.
