Die Halo Friendlies sind eine all-female Pop-Punk-Band aus Long Beach, Kalifornien. Die Band wurde 1998 von Judita Wignall gegründet, die nach dem Ausleihen einer Gitarre bei einem Date mit ihrem zukünftigen Ehemann Matt Wignall (Mitglied von Havalina/Matt Death and the New Intellectuals) beschloss, eine Band zu gründen. Ihr selbstbetiteltes Debütalbum aus dem Jahr 1998 featured Wignall als Lead-Sängerin und Gitarristin, Cheryl Hecht an der Gitarre, Natalie Bolanos am Bass und Deanna Moody am Schlagzeug. 1999 verließ Hecht die Band und wurde durch Ginger Reyes ersetzt, die sich mit Wignall im Gesang teilte und den Bass übernahm, wodurch Bolanos zur Lead-Gitarristin wechselte. 2000 trat Christina Theobald/Hock der Band als Schlagzeugerin bei, wurde aber kurz vor der ersten UK-Tournee des Bands im Jahr 2003 durch Claudia Rossi (ex-Jack Off Jill) ersetzt. Zu den bekanntesten Songs gehören *The Halo Friendlies*, *Acid Wash* und *Sugar*.
