Missing Persons è un gruppo musicale statunitense di new wave e rock elettronico, attivo dal 1980 al 1986. Fondato dal chitarrista Warren Cuccurullo, dalla cantante Dale Bozzio e dal batterista Terry Bozzio (già collaboratore di Frank Zappa), il gruppo si completò con l'aggiunta del bassista Patrick O'Hearn e del tastierista Chuck Wild. La voce eterea di Dale Bozzio e il suo trucco scenico, spesso ispirato al mondo fantascientifico, contribuirono a rendere i Missing Persons un fenomeno mediatico all'inizio degli anni '80. Il loro sound, caratterizzato da synth pop melodico e riff chitarristici incisivi, li posizionò tra le band più innovative del periodo. Tra i brani più famosi ci sono "Walking in Memphis", "Words", e "Destination Unknown". L'album di debutto omonimo (1982) raggiunse il successo commerciale, consolidando la popolarità del gruppo. Dopo un secondo album, "The Missing Persons" (1984), i Missing Persons si sciolsero nel 1986.
