Franz Nicolay è un musicista e scrittore statunitense, noto soprattutto per essere il tastierista e cantante di supporto del gruppo rock The Hold Steady. Nato nel 1975, Nicolay ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale negli anni '90 suonando in diverse band indipendenti a New York City.
