Avicii, der Künstlername von Tim Bergling (1989-2018), war ein schwedischer Musikproduzent, DJ und Komponist. Als einer der Pioniere des Progressive House erreichte Avicii internationale Bekanntheit mit seinem 2011 erschienenen Single "Levels", der in vielen Ländern die Charts anführte. Sein Musikstil zeichnete sich durch eingängige Melodien, energiegeladene Rhythmen und elektronische Einflüsse aus. Neben "Levels" zählen auch "Wake Me Up", "Hey Brother" und "The Nights" zu seinen erfolgreichsten Titeln. Avicii arbeitete mit Künstlern wie Aloe Blacc, Coldplay und Adam Lambert zusammen. 2016 kündigte er aufgrund gesundheitlicher Probleme seinen Rücktritt von Live-Auftritten an, produzierte aber bis zu seinem tragischen Tod im Jahr 2018 im Alter von 28 Jahren weiterhin Musik.
