Howard Jones ist ein britischer Sänger und Musiker, geboren 1955 in Southampton. Bekannt wurde er für seinen Musikstil, der Synth-Pop, New Wave und progressiven Rock verbindet. In den 1980er Jahren erlangte er mit Hits wie "What Is Love?", "Like to Get to Know You Well" und "No One Is Watching" große Popularität. Jones war ein Pionier bei der Verwendung von Synthesizern und Drum-Machines in der Popmusik und beeinflusste damit Generationen von Künstlern. Seine Musik zeichnet sich durch eingängige Melodien, nachdenkliche Texte und komplexe Arrangements aus. Neben seinen erfolgreichen Alben wie "Human's Lib" (1983) und "Dream Into Action" (1984) arbeitete Jones mit anderen bekannten Künstlern wie Tears for Fears und The Cure zusammen.
