Yothu Yindi è un gruppo musicale australiano formatosi nel 1986 a Arnhem Land, Territorio del Nord. Il gruppo fonde tradizioni musicali aborigene con elementi di rock e musica contemporanea, creando un sound unico e potente. Il nome Yothu Yindi significa "always be true" (sempre sii vero) nella lingua Yol?u matha, parlata dalla comunità aborigena di Arnhem Land. Tra i membri fondatori figura il cantante e musicista Mandawuy Yunupingu, considerato una delle figure chiave della musica aborigena contemporanea. Yothu Yindi ha contribuito a portare la musica aborigena a un pubblico internazionale, ottenendo riconoscimenti globali per la sua originalità e messaggio di pace e unità. Tra i brani più rappresentativi del gruppo ricordiamo "Treaty", "Djaparrk" e "Marri Djali". L'album "Tribal Love/Songs of Our Land" (1991) è considerato un punto di svolta nella loro carriera, raggiungendo il successo internazionale.
