Megadeth ist eine amerikanische Thrash-Metal-Band, die 1983 in Los Angeles gegründet wurde. Gegründet vom Gitarristen und Sänger Dave Mustaine, einem ehemaligen Mitglied der Metallica, erlangte die Band schnell Bekanntheit für ihre aggressive, komplexe und politisch aufgeladene Musik. Mustaine zeichnet sich durch seine schnellen und komplexen Gitar riffs aus, während die Texte Themen wie Krieg, Gesellschaft, Religion und individuelle Freiheit behandeln.
