Nektar è un gruppo musicale britannico di progressive rock attivo principalmente tra gli anni '70 e '80. Originari di Londra, si trasferirono ad Amburgo nel 1973 per collaborare con il produttore tedesco Klaus Schulze. Il loro sound, caratterizzato da sonorità psichedeliche, jazz fusion e un'influenza evidente del rock progressivo britannico degli anni '70, li ha portati a registrare album di successo come "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" (1975) e "Down to Earth" (1976).
