Sibling Celtic-pop, folk-rock band The Corrs formed in 1991 to audition for the Irish-rock based film The Commitments. Andrea Corr (lead vocals, tin whistle) Sharon Corr (violin, backing vocals) Caroline Corr (drums, bodhran, backing vocals) and brother Jim Corr (guitar, keyboards/piano backing vocals) are originally from Dundalk, Ireland, and grew-up surrounded by the music of their parents who played in various local bands and eventually formed their own traditional Irish folk band, Sound Affair.
