Fatboy Slim, der Künstlername von Quentin Leo Cook, ist ein britischer DJ, Musikproduzent und Beatmaker, geboren am 31. Juli 1963 in Bromley. Bekannt auch als Norman Cook und The BPA (Abkürzung für The Brighton Port Authority), erlangte er internationale Bekanntheit durch seinen Big-Beat-Stil, eine innovative Fusion aus Hip-Hop, Breakbeat, Rock und R and B. Cook begann seine Karriere in den 1980er Jahren als Mitglied der Band The Housemartins und erzielte Erfolge mit Songs wie "Car Boot of Love". Nach der Auflösung der Band widmete er sich der Musikproduktion und dem DJing und nahm 1996 den Namen Fatboy Slim an. Sein Debütalbum "Better Living Through Chemistry", veröffentlicht 1998, wurde ein weltweiter Erfolg dank Hits wie "The Rockafeller Skank" und "Praise You".
